Ocean Breathes Salty - Sun Kil Moon

Another cover song for ya, in the same vein as Denise's Al Green contribution - a complete reimagining of a song, making it your own, rather than just a retread. My favorite kind of cover song, the kind that almost makes you forget that it's a cover. This one is a cover of Modest Mouse, i think probably the first time i've heard them covered. Sun Kil Moon is a solo project by the lead singer of Red House Painters, a band i've heard of but never really gotten into. The whole Tiny Cities album is made up of covers of Modest Mouse/Isaac Brock. Lots of good stuff in there so check it out if you like this one.
