ladies under the covers

UPDATE: reposting these due to some people having issues with YouSendIt. Hope they work this time, well worth it.

I'm a sucker for cover songs, as we all know. When i started browsing through the iTunes Music Store this week, i let myself splurge a little. It started with Tori Amos, who i guess has jumped on the official bootleg bandwagon that Pearl Jam re-started a few years ago. She has four live shows up on iTunes and they all have at least one cover song. I think Tori is probably my favorite cover artist, ever. In my version of heaven, she sings in a lounge act with George Michael, and the drinks and appetizers are all free.

After Tori, i kept looking, and found plenty of reasons to throw down a buck for rare little brilliant gems. Share in the fun of discovery. I have more, but for now we'll just put these out there and see if it's worth posting the others (hint, hint). Even if you don't like what you hear, they're all worth a listen.

Tori Amos - Father Figure

Tori Amos - Livin' On a Prayer

Sinéad O'Connor - All Apologies

Keren Ann - Are You Lonesome Tonight?
